Lenten Confessions “Peace be with you!” With these words, the Risen Lord greeted his frightened Apostles in the Upper Room on the day of his Resurrection. Christ repeated the words, “Peace be with you.” Then added, “Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them.”
(Jn 20:19-23).

What an extraordinary gift – the gift of divine forgiveness! This year, prepare for Easter by receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation. During Lent, every Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Hartford will be open on Mondays from 6:00 pm—7:00 pm for Lenten Confessions.

There will be confession offered at Saint Patrick Church Every Monday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm during Lent Starting on Monday, February 23rd, 2015

The Knights of Columbus has received another award in as many months.  This one celebrates the distinction of receiving an award given to very few councils these days.  For 2014 the Reverend M. Ernest Wison Council #20 has a Star Council award for exceeding 400% growth in membership last year.

"We must stand up for the rights of our neighbour who is suffering from injustice; we must defend them all the more vigorously because we see Jesus present in them. Surely this is our duty because of our love for others for his sake. We have no right to be 'sleeping watchmen' or dumb watch-dogs. Whenever we see evil we must sound the alarm."
— Blessed Charles de Foucauld
