Bidding is open!

Do you like to go out to eat? Here's a new idea.
Restaurant Fundraiser for the Mission Trip.

We are in the process of calling restaurants to ask for their support for the Mission Trip fundraisers.  So far we have one restaurant willing to give us 25% of the bill for St. Patrick participants who go to the restaurant and eat on Mondays and Tuesdays for the month of June.

Please keep this in mind if you are going out to lunch or dinner for the month of June on Mondays or Tuesdays.

Pagliacci’s is a great Italian family restaurant on Rte. 10 in Plainville.  Great food and reasonable too!! When you go into Pagliacci’s just let them know that you are from St. Patricks and are there to support the Mission Trip.  Thank you!

See their web site and menu here.

* More information regarding other restaurants will be forthcoming in the bulletin.

2012 Ministry Fair - the parish annual Ministry Fair normally held in the fall will be postponed this year.  Representatives of the over thirty active ministries will be discussing ways to rejuvenate this event to provide you an even better opportunity to learn about our ministries, ask questions, and sign-up to join one or more.

Mission Trip July 15-21

Worcester, MA.

Please keep your eyes open for a few upcoming fundraisers to help support this wonderful mission for some of our parishes teens.  16 have signed up to help others that can not help themselves.  It is doing Christs work.

Look for a car-wash and bake sale and we may even have a drawing for some very exciting prizes (maybe an IPAD).

More on Young Neighbors in Action

Young Neighbors in Action is a week-long Mission Trip service experience for teams of youth and adults.  Thirty-one Young Neighbors events are being offered in twenty sites around the United States during the summer of 2012.  The program anticipates over 2500 participants.  Young Neighbors brings a strong, Catholic perspective to the work of assisting people in need. Young Neighbors in Action is sponsored and directed by the Center for Ministry Development, a national, non-profit agency that works each year with over 100 dioceses in the United States.  Mission Trips provide the youth with experiences at various work sites, sponsored by church and social service agencies that will include working with children and families in need in homeless shelters and soup kitchens, summer recreation and tutoring programs, painting and minor repairs to family homes and agencies.

The Mission Trip for the youth of St. Patrick Parish is scheduled for the week of July 15-21 in Worcester, MA.

More information is available by calling the Religious Education Office, (860) 676-0253 or email:  Eileen@stpatsfarm.com; or check the website:  www.cmdnet.org.

Saint Patrick has the absolute pleasure to announce that our new permanent Deacon is Bob Barry, long term parishioner and long term friend.  Please join the entire parish in welcoming Bob and the entire Barry family.
Welcome to our church - we invite you to look around and get a feel for our church. Feel free to share any comments or questions that might be on your mind through our online guest book. If you're not currently a member of our church - we'd like to take this opportunity to invite you to one of our weekly Masses.  And of course, feel free to reach out and speak to our Pastor Father Thomas Barry or anyone in our very active ministries
We hope you and your family will have a warm and welcoming experience with us as we celebrate as a parish community at our Masses, events, and ministries.
May God bless you,

The Centennial Mass will be celebrated on June 10, 2012 at the 11:45 mass.

A tremendous music program is being planned and scheduled for this very special occasion at the Church of Saint Patrick, lead by the Music Director from St. Peter Claver, Tim Stella.

Archbishop Mansell will attend the mass and a reception will be held afterwards.

Coffee and...

is a monthly function and continually needs help and donations. If you have volunteered before think about doing it again, if you haven't volunteered yet, please consider doing so.

Help the parish offset the costs of these important social functions by volunteering your time and/or resources.
