Welcome Home

If you are a visitor to Saint Patrick Church, we want you to know how welcome you are, whether you have come here from another part of the country, from across the world, or simply from another parish here in the Archdiocese of Hartford. Thanks in part to the generosity of visitors like yourself, we are able to celebrate the Church’s liturgy here in a fitting and beautiful way.

The Catholic Transcript "On-Line"                           THIS WEEKS MASS INTENTIONS

Dear Parishioners,

All week long we have been celebrating Easter Sunday in the daily liturgy. So I can once more wish all of you a Happy Easter. I am especially grateful for all those who participated as volunteers in the liturgies of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday. Their participation was an important part in making those liturgies so meaningful. I also want to thank all who generously supported our Easter collection, as well as the Easter Flower collection. The floral arrangements certainly reflected the joy of Christ’s Resurrection.

In addition, I wish to let you know that our parishioner, Brian Connolly is this year’s recipient of the Saint Joseph Medal honoring parish service. Brian is known to many of us for his varied and active parish involvement. In the past, he served as the president of our parish council. He has especially been involved in our religious education program for many years and recently in our GIFT program. The medal will be conferred at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph on Sunday, April 17th at 3:00 pm by Archbishop Leonard Blair. You are invited to attend if your schedule permits.

On your behalf I welcome to our parish, the newly baptized from the Holy Saturday Easter Vigil mass. They are: Abigail and Zoe Kulas and Kenysha and Javen Espinar. Kenysha and Javen’s mother, Tania was also received in to the church at that same mass. It is always a happy time when we can celebrate the Easter Vigil liturgy in its fullness. I am also grateful to Deacon Bob Barry, Eileen Dignazio and Toni Berlandy who ably assumed responsibility for our parish RCIA program.
